Backstage: Herve Leger Spring 2014 NYFW

Fashion and beauty go side by side, it’s important to analyze the trends seen at the runways as a whole: including clothing and accessories paired with hair and makeup.
As official beauty blogger from Sephora Mexico I was able to be backstage at the Herve Leger show, the makeup was designed by Val Garland and the Pro Sephora Team.
The final look is feminine and powerful, the eyes are the focal point, with a subtile smoky eye, in a flawless and glowy skin, a contoured face using bronzers and shimmers, paired with naked lips. Val decided to create this look using the: Marc Jacobs, Josie Maran, Bobbi Brown, Yves Saint Laurent and Sephora makeup products.
In exclusive interview for Sephora Mexico and High On Fashion, Val told me that it’s important to define and separate the inferior eyelashes, to get this result she uses the ‘Pro Visionary Lash Fan no.220’ brush: '...it makes the small lashes look longer and strong!' She concluded. Another tip she shared with me, is that if you apply a small amount of gloss in your nude lipstick (like the Silky Sensual Radiant from YSL no.1 she used for this runway look), it helps you accentuate your lips and gives them an ‘glossy’ extra something.

La belleza y la moda van de la mano, por ello la importancia de analizar de fondo las tendencias vistas tanto en ropa y accesorios, como en belleza, incluyendo el maquillaje y los peinados vistos en las distintas pasarelas; moda no existe sin belleza y viceversa.
En esta ocasión les platico que estuve en backstage del desfile de Herve Leger, el maquillaje fue diseñado por el PRO Sephora Team lidereado por Val Garland.
El look final, es femenino y poderoso, los ojos son el punto central, con un smoky eye difuminado, piel satinada y perfilada con iluminadores y los labios totalmente desnudos Val, decidió armar este look con varios de los productos de Marc Jacobs, Josie Maran, Bobbi Brown, Yves Saint Laurent y la colección de Sephora.
En entrevista exclusiva para Sephora México y High On Fashion, Val me comentó que es importante definir y separar las pestañas inferiores, y para ello utiliza la brocha ‘Pro Visionary Lash Fan no. 220’ que no sólo ayuda a definir las pequeñas pestañas inferiores, sino que contribuye a que se vean más largas. Otro tip que compartió conmigo, es que si se aplica un poco de gloss en un lipstick de tono Nude, como el ‘Silky Sensual Radiant’ de Yves Saint Laurent (no. 1 Nude) que de hecho es el que ella utilizo en la pasarela de Herve Leger, se acentúa el tono natural de los labios además de darle un brillo satinado.
