Backstage: Reed Krakoff Fall 2014
Natural beauty, a broad topic, for sure! Who leaves home without makeup? Actually I can’t, at least I have to put some mascara and concealer; lately, the 'top international makeup artists' have given us an important lesson: trust in the natural beauty of your face; less is more in terms form the latest makeup trends and the upcoming second half of the year: groomed eyebrows, a little bit of concealer on key points and curled lashes with a coat of mascara... ready to go! In fact, the beauty look -British makeup artist- Diane Kendal for MAC COSMETICS designed for the Reed Krakoff Fall 2014 runway is all about this look and trend. BUT, to have a beautiful and healthy skin, several issues must be considered: like washing your face before going to bed, applying the adequate products, protect your skin form solar radiation, have a healthy lifestyle, etc; and no, we must not be 1.90cm tall models, with a stunning and symmetric face to look beautiful, the key to success lies in taking care from the inside out.
A couple of months ago, I started to make some adjustments in my rutine ... I left my beloved -daily can of- diet coke, I reduced my intake of cheese ( I stopped drinking milk and yoghurt a year and a half ago, I take Soy milk, now) I reduced salt and sugar consumption from my daily diet (I love candies, this was the worst part), also highly processed products and junk food (which I love, too)... started slowly eating less meat and more fish, more vegetables and many fruits. A couple of weeks ago I made a ‘week’ detox program to give my body an extra little help to process the cleansing process, the truth is it hasn’t been easy, but I definitely feel better, and my skin looks great!
Being backstage at Reed Krakoff was a dream come true for me, several of my favorite models were there: Magdalena, Irina, Amanda, Devon, Mina, Marine, Ophelie ... all cute, accessible and friendly, I was very happy to be there! On this post I’m sharing with you a couple of my favorite photos I took that afternoon, also my ten favorite looks from the runway: a timeless, sporty, yet urban collection, in fact I’m sharing them now because I believe they serve as inspiration for this SS14 season, they are very beautiful!

Hace un par de meses, yo empecé a hacer algunos ajustes en mi vida... dejé el refresco, reduje mi ingesta de quesos (la leche y el yoghurt ya lo había dejado desde hacía año y medio, ahora tomo leche de soya), reduje la sal y el azúcar, también los productos muy procesados y la comida chatarra (que amo)... empecé poco a poco, a comer menos carne de res y más pescado, más verduras y muchas frutas. Hace un par de semanas me aventé a hacer un programa de detox de una semana, para darle una ‘ayudadita extra’ al proceso que ya llevaba (si lo hacen, sugiero que lo hagan con la ayuda de una nutrióloga profesional), la verdad es que no han sido fáciles estos cambios pero definitivamente me siento mejor, y mi piel se ve impecable ¡todo suma!
Estar backstage en Reed Krakoff fue un sueño para mi, varias de mis modelos favoritas estaban presentes: Magdalena, Irina, Amanda, Devon, Mina, Marine, Ophelie... lindas todas ellas, accesibles y amigables ¡fui muy feliz! Les comparto las fotos favoritas que tomé esa tarde, también mis 10 looks favoritos de la pasarela, a temporales, deportivos y urbanos, de hecho se los comparto porque sirven de inspiración para esta temporada también ¡son hermosos!
